This four-song offering is a defiant, nihilistic monument of dissonant yet structured cacophonic madness. A colossal voyage across spiritual realms transcending through destruction, carnality, and chaos, delivering a musical holocaust which showcases a boundless evolution from their previous works. Clocking around fifteen minutes and spanning through four tracks ripe with atomic devastation, razor-sharp guitars and a pummeling rhythm section drenched in a disorienting thick fog of miasma not dissimilar to the Canadian and Australian bestial acts of yore, yet with a firm foot rooted within the Dannish lineage of the Silver Key, the combo’s newest offerings duly rekindle and reaffirm their undivine pandemonic maelstrom already projected some moons ago.
Formed in 2014 as a duo, OPOSITOR recorded two demos, a live album, and a full album, all released independently on tape format. After the split of the original lineup, former member and mastermind Abgrund (vocals and guitars) gathered a new covenant of committed individuals who have helped to develop and evoke his cathartic vision of Pan (the Anti-Cosmos) in order to achieve the supremacy of the antagonist through the teachings of the Luciferian vision. With Baphovomit’s austere yet evocative artwork and a new menacing logo by Coffinslave which harkens back to Sadistik Exekution’s Rok spikiest visions, this new shedding of skin consolidates the band’s most ambitious release to date. Recorded between March and May of 2024 A.B., this release carves and bluntly force-feds their own ungodly moniker explicitly down the fiery furnaces of the underground.
