Anu is obscure true and traditional USBM, performed without compromise and with a mindset that is proudly stuck in the 90s. Satanic black metal supremacy dedicated to the eternal night and the complete darkness, lead in solitude by sole invocator Drathrul, who is or was also in Demoncy, Hour Of 13, Set, Profane Grace among others.
The material here is “Eternal obscurity”, the bands’ latest output originally spread as ultra limited cassette and later on CD format by Heidens Hart. Now released on vinyl for the first time. Classic and traditional black metal with dark synth parts that will absolutely appeal to fanatics of aforementioned bands, as well as Godless North, Black Funeral, Nightbringer, and Inquisition.

Davis/Drathrul (Anu, Hour of 13, Profane Grace, Demoncy, etc.) has summoned an incomparable masterwork of evil death metal entitled “Dominus Profanum”. Through the songs on this EP, Set conjures and directs all of the oppositional forces that their namesake represents. Set dismembers the cohesive elements of the universe and suffocates the world of light until only darkness remains. The strength of opposition permeates this entire recording as ubiquitously as the opaque veil of death. Even upon a single listen it is readily apparent that the tracks on this EP were written and performed with skill and insight and an insatiable desire to annihilate all that is holy. Set returned to the shadows after this EP and one full length. This “Dominus Profanum” EP was originally released in a highly limited fashion on CD and MC and remains one of the most elite US death metal debuts. Original issues are now sought-after testaments for fanatics of Archgoat, Profanatica and Demoncy.
