Nortfalke / Cimerion – The congregation of wandering flames (split LP)

Nortfalke and Cimerion are both are wellknown for their use of analogue vintage synthesizers, responsible for their characteristic sound. Dense synthesizer soundscapes, magical shiny highs leads and highs with lots of air, uncanny dark low bombasticism – everything with their own melodies interwoven in the compositions. And when it comes to compositions and production quality, you would find it hard to find projects with such attention to detail and with such good songs.

Nortfalke is a very prolific solo project and one of the rare acts that actually perform live. With shows done all over Europe, Nortfalke is one of the most wellknown in the genre. Their contribution utilizes soft reverberating percussion and a bit more leads and hypnotic sequences.

Cimerion is the solo project from Monarque (Sanctuaire, Monarque, Forteresse, etc) with previous releases on Neuropa Records and Out Of Season. On this split, the material is a bit more focused on dense and dark cinematic ambient. There are a lot of similarities, yet both their unique styles complement each other. A split co-release between the two was bound to happen. Fourty minutes of dark yet adventurous beautiful analogue musical pictures.
