True pagan madness with the traditional Absurd folky black metal sound. 2024 was a very productive year for Absurd, with TWO new albums released. “Der Kaiser in dem Berge” is the title for the European edition of “Kyffhäuserreich” which was originally written by DMD in 1996 and 1997 but never finished until now. With small finishing touches by Unhold, this album finally says the light of day. This recording is obviously the only genuine one as all copyrights were legally and officially transfered from DMD to Unhold; that makes these the only official Absurd songs. To quote directly: “The premise from Doom’s side was that JFN would be nowhere near this release.”. So “Der Kaiser in dem Berge” is a 100% jfn-free and drama-free release. Don’t confuse the coverband with hired guns and an ex-member who left the band in writing with this – the real Absurd!
